المستخلص

The Architecture of mosques has mainly been constructed on the main skeleton of the Prophet’s mosque in Medina as he has put it’s main rules.
Later, this architecture make use of many architectural decorative elements which has been derived from countries that came into the Islamic world, the art of constructing mosques has been developed in a vernacular regional approach in each region, which has been distinguished with certain characteristics, Arabian or other architects have kept Islamic characteristics of mosques and this made certain amount of similarity between different styles.
The western architectural trends has influenced the Arabian architect in many ways among them are books, magazines, architectural educational courses which has a great amount of western theories, and the study of Arabian architects in western architectural schools, as a result the Islamic architecture has been influenced by this theories and it’s effect has been seen in Islamic environments.
This study includes the influence of architectural trends on the architecture of mosques which is the main element of Islamic architecture, and if this influence is just on form than on function, this is made by analyzing a number of examples by studying plans, external and internal forms, general, visual, environmental formation so as to know how it has been influenced by one of the architectural trends which has been studied before.
